Local Geelong employment services organisation, Gforce Employment Solutions, and their partner the Transport Accident Commission (TAC), were finalists for the prestigious Victorian Training Award for Apprenticeship Development. Gforce and the TAC joined forces almost 10 years ago when the TAC first moved to Geelong. Together they developed a 12-month trainee program. The program helps young people with barriers to employment find long-term work.
Geelong’s ParentsNext program to be delivered by Gforce Gforce Employment Services will roll-out the ParentsNext program in Geelong, starting on 1 July. The ParentsNext program helps parents with young children to move into work once their children are at school.
Local organisations awarded Federal Government contract Partnership between Gforce and Encompass Given Go-Ahead Gforce Employment Solutions, in partnership with Encompass Community Services, has been awarded the contract to provide Disability Employment Services in Geelong and surrounding regions. The partnership, created under the new name of EGF Solutions, commences 1 July this year. EGF Solutions will provide services on behalf of the Federal Government, Department of Social Services.

The judging committee highlighted the calibre of entrants and the support they receive from the Gforce Apprentice & Trainee division. Steve Herbert, Minister for Training and Skills announced in Geelong earlier today that the Victorian Government will commit to provide $9.3million in funding over the next 3 years to support Victorian group training organisations employ apprentices and trainees.
