Rob Birch – CEO

Rob Birch has been employed by Gforce Employment Solutions for 18 years and was appointed to the role of Chief Executive Officer in June 2012. Rob has extensive experience as a CEO and Senior Executive in the Apprenticeships and Recruitment sectors.

He is a serving Director of the Apprenticeship Employment Network (Vic), Strategy & Policy Committee member and Leadership sub-committee member of the Committee for Geelong and Board member of Gateways Support Services. Rob is also a committee member and Immediate Past President of the Geelong Business Club.

Rob held the role of General Manager – Operations at Gforce for 3 years prior to commencing his new role.  He came to Gforce having held various roles in the Aviation sector working at Avalon Airport and throughout Australia over a 15 year period.

Rob has a Diploma of Business Management and has completed the AICD Company Directors Course.

Lucy O'Reilly - Manager Corporate Operations

Lucy joined Gforce in 2011 and has had a variety of roles within the Apprentice and Trainee Division including; Apprentice Mentor, Target 100 Project Coordinator, Industry Consultant, Team Leader and Manager

Lucy now oversees Gforce’s Human Resources, Work Health & Safety, Marketing, Facilities & Asset Maintenance, Vehicle Fleet Operations and the Apprentice & Trainee Division.

Before joining Gforce, Lucy worked within the Apprenticeship and Tafe Industry Sectors for a period of 7 years. Lucy has also managed her own small business.

Lucy is a graduate of the Activate Leadership Program and is currently a participant in the Leaders for Geelong program.

Lucy has a Trade and formal qualifications in Work Health and Safety (WHS) and Business.

Louise Rau - Manager People @ Work Geelong

Louise joined People @ Work in October 2015 and currently heads our Geelong business.

Described as a trusted and insightful recruitment professional, Louise’s 15+ years of experience working at senior levels with clients to enhance organisational capability enables her and the team to identify creative, effective and practical talent solutions. Having grown effective business units, her experience, maturity and commercial understanding add value to the People at Work team and its clients with an insightful and thorough approach to the recruiting process.

Louise started her recruitment career working for Andrew Banks (entrepreneur and investor on Shark Tank) and the Morgan and Banks Group of Companies where she spent almost 12 years with the Group and its subsidiaries in a range of national and local management and recruitment. Louise has managed large scale recruitment projects across banking, F&I, FMCG and Technical and in doing so has developed a unique and invaluable skillset and know-how in recruiting. Louise brings this unique combination of experience, business acumen, insight and commitment to each client.

Greg Haynes - Manager Employment Services

Greg joined Gforce in 2009 as an experienced Employment Consultant, he has since held a number of positions including Site Coordinator, Project Officer, Team Leader and Senior Team Leader.

Prior to his employment in Employment Services, Greg worked for the Australian Public Service holding different roles in the Department of Human Services (Centrelink).

Greg holds a Bachelor of Arts and accreditations in Training and Assessment and Telecommunications. Greg is currently participating in the Leaders for Geelong program and responsible for Gforce’s delivery of Federal contracts in the Barwon and Ballarat regions.

Brendan Davie - Finance Manager

Brendan joined Gforce in 2009 as the Group Accountant and accepted the role as Manager – Finance in May 2014. Brendan has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Deakin) and is a Fellow of CPA Australia. Brendan also oversees Gforce's Payroll and Information Technology divisions. 

Brendan has held senior finance positions in large publicly listed companies as well as private organisations in the manufacturing, transport and local government  sectors. His vast experience of over 30 years has provided Brendan with exposure to both international & domestic accounting standards and conventions.

Rob Lehmann - Manager People @ Work Ballarat

Rob has worked in the employment services industry for the past 25 years across Government Agency, Government contracts, WorkCover and Private recruitment.  Rob has spent the last 12 years managing recruitment agencies in Ballarat and Western Victoria, providing temporary and permanent staffing solutions to both blue and white collar clients.

Rob’s area of expertise is in managing and maintaining the client relationship across all levels. He has had extensive exposure to negotiating EBA’s, undertaking union negotiation and consultation and interpreting multiple awards. Having supplied to and account managed high volume manufacturing sites, Rob has multiple strategies for candidate attraction and retention as well as a broad exposure to site inductions for both small and large groups of temporary employees.   Central to his success is Rob’s excellent relationship building skills, which allows him to connect with all manner of candidate and client.

Rob views his role as a HR partner rather than recruitment consultant, delivering exceptional results for his clients by understanding all facets of their business, both operationally and culturally, ensuring the right recruitment fit.

Cam Quinten - Manager Strategy & Growth

Originally trained as a Secondary Teacher, Cam brings many years’ experience working in Management, Business Development and Engagement across the training and employment sectors. 

He has had over 23 years’ experience in Higher Education and the Vocational Training sector, working with an Apprenticeships Centre, as well as the Victoria University, Deakin University and two private Training Organisations. 

Prior to this position Cam worked at The Gordon for eight years in a variety of Management roles, Business Development, Skills Partnerships and most recently as Constructing Futures Enterprise Manager.  

He also spent over 17 years on the Board of a National Not-For-Profit where the organisation has become highly successful in a competitive market following a series of mergers.

Louise Goodwin - Manager Apprenticeship Services

Louise joined Gforce early 2013 in the Apprentice and Trainee Division as a Consultant managing a caseload of school based trainees from Geelong, Ballarat and Western Melbourne. Louise was made Team Leader of the division in 2015 and moved into the Senior Team Leader role 12 months later. Louise’s current role is Manager Apprenticeship Services.

Louise worked for 20 years at Target Head Office in North Geelong in a variety of part time administration roles while raising her family and her last role at Target was National Equipment Purchasing Officer. Louise left Target in 2011 to pursue a career change and worked for a short time as a Trainer in the Business area at the Gordon Tafe before accepting the full time role at Gforce in 2013.

Louise has a Cert IV in TAE, Cert IV in Business and a Diploma in Leadership and Management. Louise completed the 8 week Activate Leadership program in 2016 through Committee for Geelong.
